In essence, a Market Group is a collection of countries (or a single country) used to customize specific settings for those countries. For clients with multiple addresses, the country of the 'default address' determines the Market Group.
The settings you can customize for each market group are as follows:
- Default Language: The language displayed to the end user on the UI after logging in.
- Currency: The currency displayed on the UI.
- Unit Formats: View settings, including the use of commas vs. dots for decimal separation and the location of the currency symbol.
- Material Availability: When adding a material, you can specify which markets these materials are available in.
To create or customize Market Groups:
- Select Market Group from the menu bar.
- Click on the Add Market Group button / Click on an existing Market Group for editing.
- Select Default Language and Currency.
- Select the countries which belong to this Market Group by clicking on the checkboxes next to them.
- Click Save.
Notes:
- A country can assigned only to a single Market Group.
