External widgets are independent components of the core product that can be embedded into any part of a webpage, enabling new user flows. With this widget, users can upload their drawings, be redirected to the standard quoting flow, and continue configuring their order.

To embed the Oroox file/drawing upload widget to a webpage:

  1. Replace the "oroox.com"portion of the following text string with the URL of your own Oroox Quote webpage:
  2. Embed this code into the Body section of your webpage's HTML code (e.g., on your company's main webpage).
  3. (optional) Replace the 0 at the frameborder="0" portion with 1 if you want the widget to have a border.

Notes:

Oroox provides three different options for the authentication points (points in the user journey where you can require sign-up or sign-in), and depending on the setting you are using, the flow for the user after uploading a file/drawing to through the external widget will change.

These are the authentication point options:

  1. Authentication is required upon landing on the webpage.
  2. Authentication is required to click 'Calculate' and view the price after uploading a drawing.
  3. Authentication is required to proceed to checkout after viewing the price.

For details on how to adjust the authentication point, please refer to this article.

These are the different user flow scenarios after uploading a file to the external widget:

  1. User is already logged in OR User is not logged in, and the authentication point option is 2 or 3
    • The user will be redirected to the standard Oroox Quoting page, with the file already uploaded.
  2. User is not logged in, and the authentication option is 1:
    • User will be asked to login or register within the external widget, and redirected to our standard signup/signin pages.
