Customizing Errors, Warnings and related user flows

Oroox Validation Rules check the manufacturability of parts/drawings uploaded by your clients. If an error is thrown for an uploaded part, it indicates that the part is not manufacturable, thereby blocking the end-user's ordering journey.

Through Error Codes section, you can:

  • Adjust the type of validation rule to determine if it throws an error or a warning that allows the user to proceed.
  • Edit the message shown to the user and its translations.
  • If the type is set as an error, you can enable the "re-design" service, which allows the end-user to complete the order with an additional fee for redesigning or fixing the .step file to a manufacturable state.

To Customize the Codes:

  1. Select Error Codes from the menu bar.
  2. Click on the code you wish to customize.
  3. Edit the parameters:
    • Change the Type from Error to Warning or vice versa.
    • Change the Error/Warning text shown to the end-user.
    • Toggle the Is Redesignable switch on/off.
  4. Click Save.

To Adjust the Redesign Price:

  1. Select Cost Centers from the menu bar.
  2. Find the Redesign cost center and click on it.
    • If this cost center doesn't exist in your instance, please refer to the Cost Centers article.
  3. Edit the Cost per Unit.
  4. Click Save.
