In an order, the sum of all operations' lead times determines the minimum lead time for that order. However, the minimum lead time is not the only parameter that determines the shipping date selection the end-user makes at checkout. The calendar the end-user sees is a result of the combination of Lead Times and Date-Price configuration.
Lead Times
Lead times can be adjusted depending on the operation type, either as fixed days or gradually increasing days based on operation durations. You can define the ranges and edit the values for fine-tuning.
To adjust Lead Times:
- Select Lead Times from the menu bar.
- Find the manufacturing operation you want to edit.
- Edit values.
- You can add or remove rows, building your own "ranges"
- Where a range starts, the next should begin (e.g. 0 to 1, 1 to 2..)
- Select the appropriate Cost Center.
- Click Save.
Date-Price configuration
After adjusting lead times, finalize the shipping date settings for clients' orders. Define delivery options with date ranges and price markups. Apply profit markups for fast deliveries and discounts for slower ones.
To adjust Date-Price Configuration:
- Select Date-Price Configuration from the menu bar.
- Edit values.
- Add/remove rows (ranges) by clicking the Add button.
- Define which range will be the pre-selected option when the end-user lands to the calendar page by toggling the Default switch on.
- Click Save.
Example calculation:
Total Lead Time | Delivery Option | Delivery From | Delivery To | Base Price | Discount/ Markup | Final Price |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
5 days | Standard | 5 + 11 = 16 days after order | 5 + 19 = 24 days after order | €10.000,00 | %0 | €10.000,00 |
5 days | Express | 5 + 6 = 11 days after order | 5 + 10 = 15 days after order | €10.000,00 | %20 | €12.000,00 |
