You define the tax applied to the order amount, including shipping and packaging costs. Taxes are specified for each country and for both company and private clients. In countries where state tax rates vary, taxes are defined on a per-state basis.
To define sales tax (VAT):
- Select Taxes from theBackoffice menu bar.
- Click on the Add Tax button.
- Chose a country, and define tax for business and private accounts.
- If taxes vary across states within the country, you will be prompted to select a state and define taxes at this level.
- Click Save.
Note:
In some cases, some of your clients may be exempt from paying tax. In such cases, you can disable taxation for this client in price building. To disable sales tax for a particular client:
- Select Clients from the Backoffice menu bar.
- Find and click on the particular client.
- Click on the Terms & Conditions tab.
- Toggle the Tax Exemption switch on.
